Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully. They explain the nature of USQAS accreditation, the limits of our responsibility, and how our services may and may not be used.
Important — please read first. USQAS is a private company, not a government agency or public authority. Our accreditation is a voluntary, private quality recognition. It is not an official license, permit, or government approval. USQAS accreditation must not be used in dealings with public/government offices, nor relied upon to qualify for, or take part in, public tenders or procurement.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or applying for any USQAS service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Nature of USQAS
USQAS is a privately owned and operated organization. We are not a state institution, regulator, or government-affiliated body, and we do not exercise any public authority. Our role is purely to promote and encourage high quality standards among organizations on a voluntary basis.
3. Purpose and Scope of Accreditation
Our accreditation is intended solely to encourage organizations to maintain and improve their quality practices. It represents our independent, private opinion at the time of assessment and nothing more. In particular, USQAS accreditation:
- Is not a government authorization, certification, license, or permit;
- May not be used in or submitted to official, public, or government offices;
- Is not intended for, and may not be used to qualify for or participate in, public tenders, bids, or procurement processes;
- Does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or performance of any accredited organization or its products and services.
4. Each Organization Is Responsible for Itself
Every organization remains fully and solely responsible for its own products, services, conduct, and legal and regulatory compliance. Accreditation by USQAS does not transfer any of that responsibility to us, and we do not supervise, control, or assume liability for the day-to-day activities of accredited organizations.
5. No Warranties
Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, nor that any information is accurate, complete, or current.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, USQAS accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from: reliance on our accreditation or any information published by us; the acts, omissions, products, or services of any accredited organization; or the use of, or inability to use, our website. Any reliance you place on accreditation status or other content is strictly at your own risk.
7. Accreditation Verification
The Accreditation Check tool shows the status recorded in our private register at the moment of the query. Status can change, be suspended, or be withdrawn at any time without notice. A positive result confirms only that an entry exists in our register; it is not a recommendation, endorsement, or guarantee of any kind.
8. Suspension and Withdrawal
We may grant, decline, suspend, or withdraw accreditation at our sole discretion. We are under no obligation to provide reasons and accept no liability for any consequence of such decisions.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, and marks on this website belong to USQAS or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission. Accredited organizations may use the USQAS mark only within the limits we specify and only while their accreditation remains valid.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the website, misrepresent your accreditation status, or use our name or marks in a misleading way, including any suggestion of government endorsement or eligibility for official or tender processes.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold USQAS harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your use of our website or services, your reliance on accreditation information, or your breach of these terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
